What it does

🔍

Hover dictionary

Rest the pointer on Korean in almost any app: browser, PDF, video player, webtoon reader or game. A small panel shows the word, its romanization and English. Words with several meanings have a pager.

⚡

Ambush review

Hover a word that's due for review and it quizzes you right there. The answer is hidden until you reveal it and grade yourself. Spaced repetition without ever opening a review session.

📸

Area select

Drag a rectangle over Korean text in an image, PDF or video to list every word in it. A shortcut copies the recognized text. Recognition runs on your Mac with Apple's Vision framework, and nothing is stored or sent anywhere.

🃏

FSRS flashcards

Save a word with one click or shortcut. Practice uses FSRS spaced repetition. You can add labels and notes, search your words, and see progress statistics and a weekly recap.

🎯

Levels, idioms and proverbs

Learner words carry one of six vocabulary levels, from Beginner 1 to Advanced 2. Idioms and proverbs are flagged, and 1,000 of them have a detailed write-up with the literal picture, meaning, origin and examples.

가

Conjugation and particles

먹었어요 resolves to 먹다 "eat", with "past · polite" spelled out. Irregular verbs, particles (학교에서 is 학교 "school") and contractions such as 난, 그게 and 뭘 are handled too.

漢

Hanja breakdown

Sino-Korean words show their characters, for example 학교 = 學 + 校. Click a character to list common words built from it. Native words show their letters (jamo) instead.
