Korean Cards: Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 October 2026
Korean Cards is an offline app for learning Korean on iPhone and iPad. It works without an account, without tracking and without sending your data to any server.
Data we collect
None. Korean Cards does not collect, transmit or share any personal data.
- No account is required.
- No analytics, no ads and no tracking.
- The app makes no network requests in normal use.
Data stored on your device
Your study data stays on your device. This includes your cards, review history, personal deck, notes, settings and reminder preferences. The app keeps it in its own storage on the device, which the home-screen widget shares. You can remove it by deleting the app.
Camera and photos
The Scan feature can read Korean text from the camera or from a photo you choose. The app asks for access only when you use Scan. The text is recognized on the device with Apple's Vision framework. The pages you scan are kept on your device in the scan history, so you can open them again, and you can delete them there. They are never sent anywhere.
Notifications
If you turn on the optional daily reminder, the app schedules a local notification on your device at the time you choose. No notification server is involved.
Backup and exchange files
Backup and exchange files are created only when you ask for them. The file goes where you send it, for example to the Files app, to AirDrop or to your Mac. The app itself sends nothing.
Purchase and ads
Korean Cards is a one-time purchase. There are no in-app purchases, subscriptions or advertisements.
